Located in the Brazilian southeast, Espírito Santo Port Compound is placed in the area of larger concentration of PIB (gross internal product) of the country.
The port Compound is located next to great urban centers , industrial and consumers and it is composed by a attractive system of intermodal transports and competitive , with 10.300 Km of railroad and 25.000 Km of highways.
It is formed by the ports of Vitória, Regência, Barra do Riacho, Praia Mole, Tubarão and Ubu, occupying more than 2,2 million Km2 and concentrating 60 million of habitants. 80% of the load movement in the Compound happen today in the municipal district of Vila Velha, where are the Cais de Capuaba (quay of Capuaba), Paul and São Torquato, administered by CODESA.
The Porto de Vila Velha (port of Vila Velha) has infrastructure for mooring, movement and transport (rail and road), besides they present equipments for movement of general load, containeres, grain and brans, places and customs silos.
In the whole Port Compound of Espírito Santo, are installed more than 60 maritime agencies and 40 port operators. They are more than 10 load terminals and an expressive number of professionals of the support areas to the external trade, transport and storage, assisting the more than 2.000 ships a year.
